The actors who gave solid performances throughout the film were Keli Price, Brea Grant, and Stephen Ellis. Some of the acting was very of the top, but it worked for this type of film. Except this time the subject is mastering the power of not sleeping versus bringing people back to life. Ya know, the idea of a group of students performing a ground breaking experiment that’s against the law and could get them thrown out of school. Sleep No More reminded me of other films from the past especially Flatliners. It felt like I was watching something from the 80’s and as a huge fan of that decade I was pleasantly surprised.īeyond that it delivers a unique story, likable characters, and although not a terribly scary film, the situation they find themselves is pretty horrifying. This film is set in the 80’s and I will say that from beginning to end it succeeded in delivering a 80’s atmosphere. Visions from the past, violent impulses and terrifying waking nightmares begin to take hold and turn this experiment into a desperate fight for survival. As the hours tick by and their struggle to stay awake intensifies, they each start to have strange and unsettling experiences.
